It’s March guys! I can feel the warm weather approaching Pittsbugh..hopefully. Anyway, I have the next drugstore series for everyone. This time I’m showcasing a few of my favorite products from the Herbal Essence line.
Herbal Essence was the first line I used when I initally went natural only because I used it while I was a relaxed head as well. Not only is it affordable but the products are very effective. Not to mention they are always on SALE…hello! But anyway the following are a few of my favorites.
Hello Hydration Conditioner
Let me soak it to you. With a fusion of orchid & coconut milk I’m deliciously hydrating. Give your hair a drink. I say you can never get too much of a good thing. So say hello to a deep dousing of lush hydration with my rich formula fused with orchids & coconut milk. Drink up and replenish your hair’s much needed moisture. It’s time to be reunited with manageable, silky, smooth hair. (courtesy of naturallycurly.com)
Ingredients: water, stearyl alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, cetyl alcohol, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, dimethicone, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, cocos nucifera (coconut) milk, fragrance, glutamic acid, benzyl alcohol, edta, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, blue 1
Ingredient Attributes: moisture, anti-humectant
Let the church say AMEN.. yes lord both the shampoo and condish were a godsend during my initial transition. I still revert back to the the conditioner every now and then but these are definitely products I would recommend to a newly natural. My hair drinks this stuff up, so it’s a huge plus that it is normally on sale. There’s also a 2 n 1 product out there too…but I don’t trust things marketed like that..so yeah. Now this product does contain cones so if you are following the CG method…stay away.
Honey I’m Strong
want hair that will leave them weak in the knees? try my formula that makes your hair 10x stronger* in just one wash. my strong and sweet formula gives you the silky strength your hair deserves. to really show your strength, try my shampoo. (courtesy of Herbal Essences website)
Ingredients: Water/Eau, Stearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Honey/Miel, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Fragrance/Parfum, Benzyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Blue 1, Yellow 5, Red 33.
Price: Again this price will vary but its currently 3.79 at Walgreens.
I’ve only used this once by accident so I don’t really have much to compare it too. I do know that a lot of naturals have been on countless forums raving about this product. Again it is made up of cones, but it does seem rather interesting that it’s being marketed as a strenghtening conditioner when it contains honey.. ah well. Definitely another product to pick up for the newly natural diva.
I will say that I like the shampoos as well, but since I’m only using poo bars I didn’t want to list them. However, if you are in the market to try new products and don’t mind cones then go ahead and pick up both the shampoo and the conditioner of the products that were previously mentioned.
Now this little baby is definitely catching my eye. I believe this is a newer product titled, The Sleeker the Butter. Now I’m not interested in sleeker hair but the products that are being advertised are catching my attention.
restless tresses? settle into sleek with our moisturizing conditioner. it’s got a little cupuaçu fragrance and a lot of style-smoothing hydration, so it treats your hair to a fragrant burst of lush moisture. kiss frizz and flyaways good-bye and enjoy smooth, sleek strands after just one use.
Doesn’t that just sound divine? Not to mention they have a freaking hair milk too!! Yes lord once this no buy has been lifted I will definitely stalk the aisles of Target, WalMart, Walgreens…EVERYWHERE.
Do any of you ladies or gents use these products? If so what are your favorites?
Peace and Love ❤
