Ipsy Review – December 2015

Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. Each month you get full size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag. I think it’s one of the best value beauty subscriptions and a great way to build out your makeup collection on the cheap!

FYI –  Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month – so my review is just one of the variations you might receive.

This is my second Ipsy bag that I’ve received and so far I’m enjoying this subscription.

Here’s what I received this month:

Pacifica Power of Love Lipstick – Sweet One (Full Sized Product)

This is a 100% natural and vegan lipstick in such a beautiful nude-y shade…my favorite. I’ve tried it on but it’s not very pigmented. It’s more like a your lips but better shade.

This currently retails for $9.99 at Target.

Peony Shadow Trio

A highly pigmented palette of three deep, after-dark shades in a nourishing, natural base that keeps it blendable & velvety smooth. These wearable shadows are formulated with silicon-coated micronized pigments & healthy kaolin clay for a seamless, silky texture that lasts up to 8 hours.

Currently retails for $17.95

Briogeo Curl Charisma

A finishing crème for curly to wavy hair that hydrates, defines, and de-frizzes your curls. It’s fortified with frizz-deterring rice amino acids, avocado oil, and nourishing quinoa extract to nurture and enhance the texture of your locks.

Currently retails for $18

CoSTUME National So Nude Fragrance

CoSTUME NATIONAL is an internationally renowned fashion house known for its iconographic style, that has been defined as minimal, chic and rock’n’roll. With its strong character, So Nude expresses the personality of a self-confident woman, who is not afraid to unveil her essence.

The fragrance opens with mysterious and spicy notes of cardamom and cumin, surrounded by the delicacy of neroli. A floral heart of ylang ylang, Damask rose and tuberose suddenly appears, enchanting for its elegance and sensuality. A warm base of cedarwood, patchouli and sandalwood gives depth to the scent.

Currently retails for $75 (YIKES)

Elizabeth Mott- Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer

This silky blend dries transparent and preps your lids for a smooth and even application. Your favorite eye shadows will intensely come to life. But most importantly, it protects your eye makeup all day, so you can get back to the important things in life (cat videos, selfies, and your roommate’s last piece of chocolate).

Currently retails for $20

Overall I’m looking forward to trying out pretty much everything with the exception of the hair creme.
