In a Flash |Boscia Charcoal Mask Review

Global Warming has been causing my face to be all out of sorts.

Yes, I’m blaming global warming for my skin’s current confusion.

I’m normally a combination/dry girl in the winter months and then I switch back to combo/oily in the summer months.

HOWEVER…..

The poor sick Earth has caused Pittsburgh to feel like it’s late fall or early spring at times.

To counteract this lovely weather we are getting, I’ve been in skincare overdrive. Picking up random masks to try along with switching up my skincare routine.

Today’s mask hails from Boscia.

It is the Charcoal Pore-Minimizing Hydrogel Mask.

I recently picked up this mask from Sephora for $8.

The main thing that caught my eye was the charcoal ingredient. I have used products with charcoal in the past and my skin loved it. Although I don’t have relatively large pores, I figured I would give it a try.

Now my pores are usually noticeable on my nose and then the cheek areas next to the base of my nose.

Boscia Claims:

boscia Hydrogel Mask Innovation

Innovative 2-piece design allows mask to completely conform to contours of face and offers complete customization for all facial structures

Formula “seals in” with no evaporation, allowing for complete absorption and delivery of maximum benefits

Bamboo Charcoal

Known as the “Black Diamond of Asia, “ this ingredient has long been revered for its purifying and healing benefits

In a newly discovered, centuries-old process, the bamboo charcoal is injected with steam, creating thousands of tiny air pockets that significantly increase the volume of impurities absorbed

Absorbs toxins and impurities leaving the skin healthier and stronger

Acts as a natural anti-bacterial agent, deeply cleansing and detoxifying pores without irritation

Marine Collagen

A time-honored ingredient in Japanese skincare

Helps skin reduce moisture loss, thereby strengthening skin to resist the first signs of aging

Promotes skin softness and firmness

boscia’s Proprietary Botanical Blend

Jojoba Leaf helps to prevent free radical damage while nourishing the skin

Willowherb helps to calm skin inflammation and reduce visible redness and irritation

One of the main things that I love about this mask is that it comes protected with an outer sheet along with a clear plastic protective sheet. IMG_5953

Here’s a before look:

While trying this mask on Dhani came in to tell me that I looked like Batman…yes Batman not Catwoman. *major side eye*

Although, Batman is my favorite superhero so I could deal with the Batman resemblance.

The main thing I like about this mask is that it comes in 2 pieces. Most mask’s that I have tried don’t fit my face so it’s either getting close to your undereye or not covering your whole face.

I also like gel consistency of this mask. The other masks that I have tried have a more liquidy consistency and often take a while to absorb in the skin.

The directions suggest that you keep this mask on for 20 minutes and then after remove the mask and press the serum into your skin.  My only qualm is that after allowing the serum to absorb in to my skin my skin feels somewhat dry in certain areas. The direction do state that you don’t have to apply a moisturizer and that the serum should be enough.

Overall, I’m interested in trying more masks from the Boscia line and plan on purchasing some more of the charcoal masks to test out for a week long period to see if my skin changes.

What are some of your favorite masks?

Peace and Love ❤
