5 Ways To Become a Morning Workout Person

the early bird gets the worm.

I’m a morning person and I absolutely love the after affects of an early workout.

However, I know most of my friends ARE NOT morning folks at all.

Shoot my own 7 year old HATES mornings so I totally understand the morning struggle.

BUT…For those of you who are working on their fitness for 2016 then I have some tips for you to become a morning workout person.


I can’t stress this one enough. Pack your gym bag the night before, shoot if you really struggle then sleep in some of your gym clothes. I can not tell you how many times this has backfired in my face. I’m often stuck looking for things and then BEEP BEEP BEEP my mom pulls up and I’m still looking for my shoes.



I’m not sure if you all have noticed this fasted cardio trend but I like to eat and I HATE CARDIO. So not eating and then having to do cardio.


Eating before a meal always help to keep me energized throughout my whole workout. My favorite pre-workout meals include:

almond butter

bananas or apple slices


wheat bread


 My mom is amazing. She always motivates and pushes me when we workout. I always look forward to hitting the gym with her..even though it is at 5 AM.

My next tip to you would to find an accountability partner and a TOUGH one. Don’t just ask Sharon who is more concerned with IG likes to be your partner because I can promise you, keeping you accountable is not high on her priority list. Get you a tough friend who will cuss you out for having her/him wake up at the crack of dawn to hit the gym while your butt hit the snooze button one to many times.

Sleep is crucial.

Early to bed, early to rise isn’t just a saying.

It’s true.

So set your alarm or two or three.

Turn off the TV.

Get off of snapchat and take your butt to bed at a reasonable time.

If you are a multiple alarm clock girl or guy. Move that phone across the room so you will have to get up to turn it off and BAM you are already out of your bed.


I think this tip is very important. Set a goal of attending the gym 3 days straight before 10 am and then reward yourself with something great.

I personally LOVE destroying challenges and rewarding myself is also great.

Shoot even if you challenge yourself to hit the gym before 10 am once during the week.
