IPSY Review – January 2016

I’m super excited for my first Subscription Box Review of 2016!

I just received my Ipsy bag for the month of January and the makeup bag that was included is so cute. I’m a glasses girl and this bag speaks to me. I will definitely use this bag.

This month’s theme is

Cute right?

I received the following 5 products:

Lasting Smiles – Lip Balm in Peppermint Creme

Retails for $3.99

Lasting Smiles® lip balms are organic and fairtrade certified with pure and moisturizing ingredients sourced from small scale global farming cooperatives. Add a bit of freshness to your lips with natural peppermint oil and a dollop of vanilla creme for a smooth finish. With coconut oil, shea, and cocoa butter for soft hydrated and healthy lips.

Smile for a Cause® Every 1,000 lip balms sold funds one cleft lip surgery — transforming a child’s life forever!

You can never have enough chapstick.

I think I own and then lose countless amounts of chapstick so I’m excited to receive this in my bag.

Marsk- Mineral Eyeshadow in Mudcake

Retails for $22.50

MARSK Mineral Eyeshadows are 100% natural, mineral based loose powder that are strictly cruelty free (not tested on animals) and available in a range of striking shades that offer endless colour possibilities for a professional makeup effect. Featuring a creamy texture, these highly pigmented powders are easily blendable and offer you the ability to create depth and intensity around the eye.

The mudcake shadow is described as a chocolate brown shade and I’m excited to test it out.

Beau Gachis Paris – Smudge Brush

Retails for $9

This Beau Gâchis® Paris Smudge Brush is ideal for creating that soft, smoldering smoky look. The shorter bristles allow this brush to pick up the right amount of shadow, allowing you to control how much you want to apply.

Another great brush to add to my growing collection.

the Balm Cosmetics – Mr. Write Now in Jack B. Bronze

Retails for $17

We have a Mr. Write (Now) for every day of the week… and then some! Meet this new collection of attractive eyeliners that are truly easy on the eyes. These pencils deliver the long-lasting color you’ve been looking for, and have built-in sharpeners so they are always ready when you are. With high payoff, eight wearable shades, and a satin smooth texture, we understand why your eyes wander- but rest assured, your eyeliner won’t!

Me and eyeliner are not friends but this pencil is amazing. It glides on so smoothly and the color is beautiful.

Salon Perfect – Brow Pomade in Light Brown

Retails for $4.88

A creamy long-wearing brow color that defines, sculpts and fills in eyebrows for that coveted full look. Perfect Brow Pomade is a multi-tasking superstar that combines the work of a pencil, powder and wax, in one easy-to-use product.

I love brow pomades however this is not my shade. I’m kind of bummed because I really wanted to try this out.

If anyone wants this comment below. I will gladly send it to you if you pay for the shipping.

That’s it for my first Ipsy glam bag. I’m thinking of keeping this subscription for another month or so and then cancelling so I can use up some of the products I received.
