98 days to go.
I’m so excited. I am finally under 100 days.
It’s crazy to think that in 98 days I will hopefully have a newborn.
This week we celebrated Halloween and some great weather. This great weather allowed Dhani’s baseball team to play their LAST last game lol.
And my little peanut was the starting pitcher.
Dhani decided to be the scream character for Halloween. Lately he’s been obsessed with horror characters.
This week I also devoted a lot of my free time to MYSELF.
Once the homework was finished and all of the mommy duties, I really focused on taking care of myself.
I’ve noticed that I often forget to take time and practice self-care.
I’ve realized that the lack of self-care wasn’t allowing me to be the best mother or girlfriend I could be.
Also, it’s really important for me to exercise self-care now that I’m expecting.
Below are a few of my favorite ways to take care of myself.
I can’t believe how much I’ve missed reading. I’ve been so attached to my darn iPhone that when I started to read again my world changed. I love getting lost in a good book and looking up and realizing how much time has passed. Lately, my reading has been all over the place. I’ve recently finished The Girl on the Train and Inferno. Both of which are currently out in theaters. I’m currently reading Dear Mary by Sarah Jakes, which is a book about Mary, the mother of Jesus and the lessons modern mothers can learn from her experiences. So far I’m enjoying the book and can relate to a lot of the topics.
Lighting candles has always been a relaxing time for me. It’s just something about the scents and sitting alone either reading or watching tv that soothes me. My current favorite candles come from Bath and Body Works.
This candle reminds me of every reason why I love the holiday season. It smells exactly like roasted marshmallows.
I absolutely love this candle. It truly lives up to its name of being a stress relieving candle.
I used to workout 4 to 5 times a week but now with the craziness of work and my growing belly I really have been lazy. However I am interested in trying prenatal yoga and now that my son’s hectic baseball schedule has slowed down I have some free time to try it out.
This lovely box is a new self care item for myself. The Artisan Love Box is
Here is the box I received:
Looks great right. Stay tuned for a full review!
In other news I passed the dreaded glucose test this week.
I was nervous that I wasn’t going to past like last time but I did.
Now I can eat all the ice cream I want. 🙂
Other than that not much has changed. I’m still out of breath.
Dealing with back pain.
But overall I’m blessed.
Until next week.
Peace and Love ❤
