91 days to go
This election hit me hard.
I mean really hard.
Wednesday was filled with random bursts of tears because I felt as if America had pretty much slapped every female in the face with the election of President Elect Trump. Especially us women of color.
Yuck…just typing that stings.
I don’t want this post to be only focused on Trump because I honestly don’t want to waste my energy on anything negative.
I just wanted to share with you all two posts from social media that I keep coming back to remind myself that we will bounce back.
First is from my college boo Jessica Byrd. Jess is such a passionate, kick ass and fearless woman dominating the world of politics.
These 2 posts reminded me of a few things that I knew were certain.
AMERICA HAS A THING WITH WOMEN IN POWER.
In the words of my imaginary husband Kendrick Lamar.
WE GON BE ALRIGHT.
The second image from social media comes from @kelcadet on Twitter
This reminds me that despite this set back I still am filled with #blackgirlmagic and that’s one thing that will never change.
My mom has always warned me that my emotions are directly connected to my children and to never allow those emotions to fully take you out of your element.
Since I’m baking one in the oven and raising a young king, I will remain strong.
I want to sum all this up with basically saying…
I’m going to use this as means of education and continuing to fight for women’s rights.

Updates on Baby Boo:
Hiccups are life. OMG this baby and it’s hiccups are insane.
I’m still getting kicked and punched like crazy!
Leg Cramps are BACK.
Also, my pregnancy app let me know that baby boo can now open her eyes.
& this is all I can imagine in the womb.
Idk why but this has had me cracking up nonstop.
I can’t believe that next week I will be 7 months and the 3rd trimester fun will begin.
Until next time 🙂
Peace and Love ❤
